My favoured pustulent ones got down and dirty, fighting tooth and nail in the muck and grime against the implacable Nids. Expecting to be mauled and wiped out by the 2nd or 3rd turn, I was pleasantly surprised to see my boys still mixing it up with the Nids all the way through to a seventh! Yeah, it was going to be that kind of a slugfest.
Mes marines de la peste ont affronté les Tyranides, une bataille vraiment sanglante et du début à la fin. La partie a duré jusqu'au septième tour même si j'ai pensé que je serai annihilé avant le troisième. Une partie tellement belle.

It was annihilation with a spearhead deployment and the tension began right from our first dice rolls for initiative. We tied both rolling a six and then my adversary got it on the second roll. He set up first and then I placed my army. I only had to put 3 tanks on the table so it was pretty easy for me. So was the strategy: keep my distance. I was rolled back back right against the edge of the table. He had trouble placing all his gribblies because there were so many. His strategy was simple too. Push as far forward as possible.
Le jeu s’est joué comme annihilation avec déploiement 'Spearhead'. Dès le premier jeté des dés, la partie était chargée de tension. On a tous les deux roulé un six pour l’initiative donc on a roulé de nouveau et mon adversaire a pris l'initiative avec un autre 6. Il a commencé à placer ses bibittes et après c'était mon tour avec mes 3 chars d'assauts. Ça a été beaucoup plus long pour lui. Nos stratégies ont été faciles: je me suis éloigné de lui, et lui m'a approché de la façon la plus directe possible.
Nothing much happened in the first turn. He moved everything forward, and I took some potshots at his Tervigon and Venomthropes with my Land Raider's weaponry. I think I might have scored a wound on the Tervigon and the venomthropes went to ground. No kill points yet.
Il n'y a pas des événements excitant durant le premier tour. Il a avancé tout et moi, j'ai tiré quelque fois sans grands effets. Aucune point de meurtre.
Again not much happened except I put a few more wounds on the Tervigon but there was a moment when something crucial transpired. The zoanthropes took aim at my land raider on the right but failed to pop it. Had they succeeded I could have lost 1/2 my punch right there. As a result I was able to be much more aggressive in turn 3.
Encore, il n'y a pas grand chose qui se passe. J'ai ajouté un peu plus de blessures sur le Tervigon mais j'ai été peur à un moment parce que ces Zoanthropes ont tiraient sur mon Land Raider. Si il a réussi, je perdrais un demi de ma force. Par conséquent, il m'a permis d'être beaucoup plus aggressif durant la troisième tour.
This is where it got down and dirty. The tyranid mass came ever closer and the hive guard managed to score a glancing hit on Typhus' land raider but it only resulted in a 1, no shooting. That was fine by me since now all the Nids were well in range for a rush. Yeah, that's right. Call me insane but I wanted to dive into the fray and rip it up hand to hand with the bugs. I figured if I hit first and hard enough I'd cripple them badly enough for my lads to grab the advantage.

Ça ça me convienne parce que j'ai été assez proche pour faire un rush. J'ai décidé de me saute dans le feu avec les bébittes. J'ai pensé, si je frappe en premier et assez fort c'est possible que je prenne l'avantage.
First order of business, Typhus had to get in there and squash the Trygon. My first land raider rolled right through the gargoyles scattering them in a tank shock and disgorged its contents before the big beastie. Typhus was confident he could go it alone so he told the plague marines to amuse themselves with the gaunts as he decided to vomit his wind of chaos on the Trygon and some winged warriors. At this point my adversary and I realised we had no flamer template. Ever industrious, he found the dimensions on the Net and made one from cardboard. I must remember to bring a few templates just in case, at least the flamers which I use all the time.
Mon premier commande est que Typhus ecrase le Trygon. Son land raider a avancé dans les gargouilles avec un 'Tank Shock' et il a dégorgé l'escouade de Typhus jusqu'en face de le Trygon. Typhus a voulu affronté la grosse bébitte tout seul donc il a laissé faire les autres marines de la peste. Ils ont attaqué les gaunts. Mais c'est la que mon adversaire et moi sont rendu compte qu'on manque un gabarit lances flammes. Bien industrieux, il l'a construit de carton avec les dimensions pris de l'Internet.
With new flamer in hand I let loose the full fury of Nurgle. I think Typhus scored 1 wound each on the Trygon and the Warriors but I don't remember. Meanwhile his plague marine companions flamed the gaunts with three templates. With only a few stragglers surviving, a little bolter fire cleaned them out. My 2nd land raider was less spectacular but still relatively successful as it smashed its way into the gaunts and genestealers. More flamers, more dead gribblies; a zoanthrope and a gaggle of genestealers to be precise.
Avec mon gabarit en main j'ai libéré la force de Nurgle lui dessus. Avec son respiration de Chaos, Typhus à réussi à faire un wound sur le Trygon et un wound sur un Guerrier qui vol. Au m^me temps, les marines de peste a fait un bon barbecue avec les gaunts et trois gabarits de lances flammes. Avec seulement deux ou trois qui reste, mes bolt pistols a nettoyé les gaunts de la table. Mon deuxième Land Raider a débarqué l'escouade de le seigneur de Chaos dans les genestealers. Plus de gabarits de lance flammes, plus de morts; précisement 1 des zoanthropes et tout des genestealers.
Here we had another dilemma. We weren't sure if my plague marines could assault another unit they did not shoot at in the firing phase since they wiped their target out completely with bolterfire. We decided to play that they could and my plague marines assaulted the Tyranid warriors. Suicide? Perhaps, but it was more fun rushing than being rushed. Typhus of course rushed the Trygon and my Chaos Lord with his death guard retinue took on the zoanthropes.
Içi on a eu un autre problème. On n'a pas su si mes marines de la peste peuvent exécuter un assaut sur un autre escouade puiqu'ils anéantissent l'escouade qu'il l'a tiré dessus. Il n'a pas été résolu mais on a joué que oui, je puisse faire pour le partie (Si tu connais la règle, svp me dis). Doncs mes soldats puris ont attaqué les guerriers qui vol. Est-que je suis se suicidé. Peut être mais c'était mieux que j'attende pour la mort. Typhus a rushé le Trygon et mon seigneur de Chaos a attaqué les zoanthropes.
In spectacular fashion, Typhus blew it on an epic scale. I rolled a 1 for his daemon weapon so the weapon rebelled, cancelling all his attacks and rendering Typhus inert for the turn. This was the screwup that cost me the victory since the Trygon wreaked havoc for the rest of the game as a result.
Spectaculairement, Typhus a foutu son chance de planté un Trygon. J'ai roulé un 1 pour son arme Daemon donc il a mangé un wound et il n'a pas attaqué pour le tour. Bravo! Cette malchance m'a couté le partie je pense parce que le Trygon a fait beaucoups de dégâts après ça incluant la démolition de mes deux Land Raiders.
Mes condoléances Nurgle pour Typhus mais il était débile
The plague marines at his side did a little better against the warriors scoring a few wounds and the Chaos Lord and his plague ridden friends disposed of a zoanthrope or two. Their 3+ invulnerable is brutal. The Nids reciprocated and mauled my poor plague marines and Typhus. He was reduced to 1 wound and 4 plague marines died. My Lord was doing alright though. All his death guard companions were still in the game.
Les marines de la peste ont amelioré le situation en tué un ou deux guerriers et mon seigneur a pété un autre zoanthrope. Leur sauvegarde 3+ est fatiguant donc un était encore survivant. Le Trygon a presque réussi à bouffé Typhus et 4 de mes marines de la peste sont morts. Mais tout a été nickel pour mon Seigneur de Chaos. Tout sa escouade a sorti vivant.
The score was 1 kp for the Nids, 2 kp for the death guard. I was pleased to be leading but I expected the Nids would tear victory from my grasp in the next two turns.
Les Nids ont marqué 1 point et les marines de peste, 2. J'ai été content d'être en tête des points mais pourtant, j'étais sur qu'ils vont voler la victoire.

That they tried. The hive guard popped my rhino with a few well placed shots and my last plague marine squad with meltas came tumbling out. Surrounded by Gargoyles I thought I was done for. In fact it could have been a lot worse. My adversary had placed his gribllies so that all exits were blocked. If the rhino hadn't exploded I would have lost the entire squad because they wouldn't have been able to get out.

Le rhino a éclaté donc tout mes gas a tombé sain et sauf sur le terre. Tout les sorties a été bloqué donc si le rhino n'a pas éclaté tout mes gas seraient morts.
Then the rest of the tyranid swarm piled in on my Chaos Lord and crew. It didn't look good.
Après ça, le reste d'essaim a entassé dessus mon seigneur de Chaos et ses amies. Ça n'a pas été jolie.

The gargoyles were largely ineffectual against my plague marines. Even with their menacing numbers, they only succeeded in killing one and I was only able to kill a few. It was going to be tarpit match.
Même si les gargouilles étaient si nombreux, ils n'ont pas eu tellement d'effet sur mes bonhommes. Ils ont tué un est mes gas ont tué deux ou trois gargouilles et la bataille a continue. C'etait un vrai fosse de goudron.

The Trygon predictably diced up Typhus and the warriors tore into the plague marines some more. It didn't go as badly as expected though. I lost a few (each one a good friend), but with a well placed fist the warriors were all killed even with the venomthrope reducing my initiative to 1.
Finalement, le Trygon a bouffé Typhus et j'ai perdu d'autres marines de la peste aux les armes des guerriers. Même si j'ai perdu des bonhommes (chacun un bon ami), j'ai fini les guerriers avec mon poing énergétique de mon champion.
Les vivants continue!
The Tervigon also rushed my land raider but only knocked off a lascannon. I didn't cry. I had 2.
Aussi, le Tervigon a rushé mon Land Raider et il a détruit un lascannon, mais je n'ai pas pleuré. J'ai eu un autre.

With two surviving land raiders I opened fire on the Tervigon and wasted it. This had a domino effect of wiping out the squads of termagaunts it spawned that were currently swarming my lord. Nice.
Avec les armes des deux Land Raider vivant j'ai fait éclater le Tervigon. Presque tout les termagaunts qu'elle a engendré étaient mort par conséquence. Ça a été beau.
Ils ont commencé à désépaissir
My Lord was destroyed with some Nid armament that causes instant death if I fail a leadership roll with 3 dice. I rolled 18, 3 6's, so he must have been reduced to an eviscerated pile of goo.
J'ai perdu mon seigneur contre une arme Tyranide qui cause la mort immédiate si tu réussie pas à un jeté de Leadership à 3 dé. J'ai roulé 3 '6', donc 18, donc il a été plus que tue; il a été éviscérer.
The score was now 5 kp for the Nids, 4 kp for the death guard. Still close but I had lost the lead and was steadily losing ground. In a war of attrition, the Nids will always win or so I thought.

The Trygon now free proceeded to put a new sunroof in my land raider, causing it to explode in the process.
Maintenant libre, le Trygon a decidé de l'installé un toit ouvrant dans mon Land Raider et il l'a fait éclater par conséquence.

The gargoyles on the other hand turned yeller and ran. Without a synapse creature their initiative is 6.

My Chaos Lord's surviving buddies managed to lay a powerfist on the last warrior and scored me another kill point. Then the rest of the gribblies turned yeller as well. I was suddenly hopeful.
Les autres bébittes a se sauvé aussi quand mon champion avec son poing énergétique a entérré le dernier guerrier. J'ai été encourager.
Solitaire mais il est dur
With no respite from the tension, the game dragged on. We were now neck and neck with 7 kp for the Nids, and 7 kp for the death guard.
Sans pose, la partie a continu. On a été égale à 7 points chacun.

The tervigon felt bad about the results of his previous attempt at autobody repair, so he thought he'd best try again. Once more my land raider was reduced to smoking charred shorn metal.
Le Tervigon a éclaté facilement ma deuxième Land Raider. Ouf!

However, the gargoyles flew off the table and so I scored another kill point from that.

Unfortunately his other gribblies rallied and opened fire on my last plague marine from the Chaos Lord Squad. Amazingly enough, he survived.
Malheureusement les autres bébittes sont plus courageux et ils ont retourné pour me bataillé encore. Ça m'étonne mais mon bonhomme a été encore vivant à la fin de tour.
To make it brief, the Trygon slaughtered my last surviving plague marine from the Chaos Lord squad.
En bref, le Trygon a bouffé mon dernier marines de la peste de l'escouade du seigneur de Chaos.
Miam, miam! Peau disséqué!
However I still had 3 survivors from the gargoyle assault, my melta squad. They were way over on the other edge of the table where the Trygon could not aggress them. My adversary did try to kill them with his hive guard weapons but they made all their saves despite taking five hits. Not bad.
Mais j'ai eu 3 marines de la peste qui ont étaient encore vivant sur l'autre côté de la table. Mon adversaire a éssayé de les tue avec les fusils des garde de Tyranide mais il n'a pas réussi.

The game consequently ended in a draw, 8 points each.
Par conséquence la partie était un nul, 8 points chacun.

This was easily one of the most exciting games I have ever played. My opponent kept the tension on the whole game, making for a bloody and tense dustup throughout. Best of all, I have found weakness in the impregnable armour of the tyranid swarm. I shall apply what I have learned here in the future and perhaps experience a victory finally against the bugs.
Facilement, c'est une de mes plus excitante parties à date. Mon adversaire m'a mis au mur en tout le temps, donc la bataille a été sanglant et féroce dès le début à la fin. Mieux que tout, j'ai trouvé une faiblesse dans l'armure inexpugnable des Tyranides. Je commence a réalisé un victoire contre les Nids dans l'avenir.
